Well, the last month has been a whirlwind! Right after Christmas we went to visit my sister and her family in Vancouver, WA. It was a blast! My sister had never met Brooklyn before, so she was in heaven! :] They also have 2 cats and 1 dog so Brooklyn was in heaven too! My brother in law is a big fisherman and has a pretty nice boat. He and Stephan braved the cold one day and went fishing. Stephan caught his first Steelhead! It was delicious! :]

After livin it up with my seester for a week we raced back to Provo to get ready for the move. And it turned out to be seriously the least stressful move I've ever experienced! A few workers showed up at 9 AM and packed all of our stuff by 3 PM!! (Minus our unmentionables ;] I just couldn't let some random guy touch my undies...) It was awesome! Except that by the time they left our house was 47 degrees. It was freezin!! Luckily Brooklyn got to spend the day in the warmth of Wal-Mart and the mall. Stephan was a trooper though and braved the cold to make sure no one stole our stuff :]

The next day we packed up our car and kissed Provo goodbye! I was soooo sad to leave! It still breaks my heart to know that we wont ever live in the culdesac again... Thanks to that place we made the best friends and the best memories! (That's you guys :])

We hit the road and drove through the night to none other than Lincoln Nebraska! We literally almost died like 50 times on the icy roads of Wyoming. I've never been so tense driving...and my car anxiety didn't help the matter. But we made it! And it was all worth it when we saw the Welch's smiling faces!!

Lincoln is probably the coldest place I've ever been. I don't know how anyone survives. I think at one point in our visit we could've gotten frost bite if we had been outside for more than 15 minutes... It makes me cold just thinking about it. BUT we had a BLAST! Ross and Aly were the best host/hostesses. They made us gourmet fried chicken, and delicious pancakes, and all sorts of yummy food. We got to try the weirdest but most delicious burgers ever at Honest Abes and the best chicken fingers you'll ever find at Raising Canes. MMMMMmmmmm! My stomach is grumbling. I need me some Honest Abes.

I was getting tired of my orangish Sun-in hair, so we got some dye and took a whack at it! Who knew dyeing your hair could be so fun! The anticipation of seeing the final product was exciting! Turns out Aly is a professional hair dyer! Head on over to Lincoln if your hair needs some work :]

We tried out 6 man Tater Hole -- quite the experience! I think one day, once all of the kinks are worked out, that 6 man Tater Hole is gonna be where it's at! Speaking of Tater Hole, we had a pretty good laugh when we discovered that Tater Hole is really a redneck identical version of Aggravation. Look up the rules to Aggravation and compare it to Tater Hole if you need a good laugh :] We decided to not tell Stephan's family...We don't want to be the ones to deliver the news that Tater Hole is a fraud. Although, I think Tater Hole has a charm that Aggravation will never have.

We also started out the new year right with a new season of the Bachelor! It was complete with candy and Christmas crack and of course lots of laughs at the petty drama that we all love to watch! Stephan and Ross won't admit it but they were lovin the drama too :]

It was hard to leave the Welch's but we had to get back on the road. SAD DAY!!  We made it to Indiana in record time. Good thing because at that point I wanted drive our car off of a cliff! By the time we got to Indiana we had driven a total of 48 hours in 2 1/2 weeks! Brooklyn was a champ too.

Now we're livin it up with the fam and having a blast being close to the Barrus's again! We got to be at Bruce's first birthday, we've had a game night, and took the kids to the zoo. It's hard to coordinate nap schedules, but luckily we've been able to see each other several times.

So we were supposed to move to Mississippi today, but last Friday Stephan had a feeling we should read some reviews about the complex we were moving into...Turns out one manager is a convicted drug felon and the other one brags that he has killed a man with his bare hands...Basically every review said DONT LIVE HERE!!! Luckily we had not signed a contract yet and they hadn't cashed our deposit. So we stopped funding for our deposit and told them we weren't coming anymore... We really dodged a bullet (with a little divine intervention!) but the last few days have been SUPER stressful trying to find a new home. We just found out yesterday that got accepted to a complex that the missionaries live in. And according to a member of the ward down there it is the only complex he would recommend living in... Uhhh, what kind of pace are we moving to??? If you don't hear from us in the next month or two, please call the police. We may be in a ditch somewhere... Just kidding!...But seriously.
